As a fan of ‘radio-controlled’ watches, I had been looking for a cheap example for daily wear and was pleased to find an older Casio Waveceptor on the Bassett Watchshop website. The first one I received had a faulty LCD date display which I returned through the eBay returns system. I phoned Sue at Bassett’s to explain that I was still keen to have a fault-free version of this model,if another was available. Initially, Sue found it hard to conceal her frustration that eBay had refunded me and I had removed links and the crystal cover from the returned watch. I explained that the faulty display had not become apparent until I had fitted and set up the watch. Once convinced of my integrity as a buyer Sue was most helpful, I paid again and a second watch was dispatched. Unfortunately, the second watch had condensation and black smudges on the REAR face of the crystal. A third watch was then sent out, which was fault-free. I am pleased with my new watch and grateful to Sue for resolving the problems. All’s well that ends well!
